Morgan starred as a woman in AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. Part of the proceeds was donated toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan spearheaded other fund raising projects, and she also testified at a special Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the board of Governors of APLA. The organization has asked her to fill in for the former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at related events involving AIDS. Steve Bell, a anchor on the news, has been host of an AIDS Awareness Special. She has appeared twice on Nightline with Ted Koppell regarding AIDS. Morgan was nominated for the Emmys for Diane English's Murphy Brown special written especially for Morgan. In the spring, she starred with Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon, produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. Next, she was sent to Luxembourg to film Harmony Gold's Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee also appeared in the show. Morgan also starred in the psychological suspense thriller that was exclusively produced for the USA Network garnering one of the most impressive ratings in the network's history.
